John Bainbridge is a British author who read literature and history at the University of East Anglia, specialising in the Victorian Underworld. He and his wife Anne are based in the North of England.
We write historical thrillers and murder mysteries set in Victorian England and the 1930s. Our series include the William Quest Victorian thriller series, the Inspector Abbs mysteries, which are set in the 1870s, and the 1930s Inspector Chance mysteries. John also writes a series of historical novels set in medieval England, The Chronicles of Robin Hood - volumes published so far are Loxley, Wolfshead and Villain. He also writes country walking books including Wayfarer's Dole, The Compleat Trespasser and Footloose in Devon. |
